Transportation Services at Buena Vida Estates go the extra mile

At Buena Vida Estates, we’re a senior living community which means you’re not living like someone who’s letting life pass them by. In fact, you live the GoodLife here! Part of that is going out and doing the activities you did before you came to be with us. We want our residents to transition to our community and love it here, so we provide them with services that allow them to keep their independence.

At Buena Vida we have two vans, one of which is a lift van to accommodate our residents with special needs. This is a free service offered to our residents with 24-hour advance notice. Our vans circulate daily for medical transports within the Melbourne/Palm Bay area.  Medical transportation to Viera is also available with advance notice. We have a schedule that designates certain days for your shopping needs. For example, every Monday and Thursday we offer rides to Publix and alternate shopping trips to Walmart, Target and Walgreens on Tuesdays.  We also have a designated day for the bank, post office, shopping at the Melbourne Square Mall and Patrick Air Force Base. In addition, we periodically schedule shopping with lunch trips to the stores in the Suntree/Viera area giving our residents a variety of options to choose from.

Besides going out for errands, we provide fun outings for our residents! We take trips to the local theater to see performances and concerts, art museums, and historical sites throughout Brevard County. Our residents can also enjoy trips to the movies and the zoo. On top of all that if they want a change of scenery for breakfast, lunch, or dinner we take trips to various different restaurants in the greater Melbourne area. We are always open for suggestions for places to go and see. Our goal is to make our residents feel as comfortable as possible and the best way to do that is to give them a sense of home. Your home isn’t an island that you’re stuck on; you have the ability to go out if you need to and that’s what we want to convey at Buena Vida. We’re home for our residents and we will make sure it always feels that way.
